This iron box served as a sand holder by the roads for when the weather is icy and snow falls on the streets. We’re unsure if it’s been made to fulfill this task or if it was for something else before, one thing is sure: it’s simply indestructible.
The hard oil treatment brings out its true face and patina and so the colours come to life.
