These benches were a common site for us in Hungary. We had them on the streets, in parks, bus and train stations and even in the public baths. Thes were normally screwed or attached to the ground somehow so people will not move them away from their spot.
Their frame was different but used simple lines of forms and usually made of iron tubes. The wooden slats had many layers of paint during the years and the heavy cleaning brought out this colors nicely. We preserved the colors of this beautifuly aged bench with thick lacquer.
You can put it in your lounge or leave it outside. Use it in your garden if you wish. It will stand the weather for many years to come.
